Whether it be sending a formal invitation for a wedding, hosting a shower, announcing a special event or mailing out those special holiday cards, we can ensure that what is on the outside is as important as what is on the inside.

Below are a few helpful hint for addressing formal invitations. Although announcements and casual events don't need quite the formality of a wedding envelope, most of the etiquette rules may still apply.

Ready to place your order? Great! Please follow the steps below to ensure that your envelopes arrive at our office and are ready to be printed. If you have any questions during the process please email us or call (224)622-2289 (local) or 888-623-0093 (outside Chicagoland).

1. Create your list in either a Microsoft Word document or an Excel spreadsheet. If using Word, please do not use tables or other formatting. Begin your list with the guest's names, address, city state and zip as well as inner envelope salutation list underneath each other in column format, ie:

If using Excel, create a spreadsheet with 4 columns with the following headings: Name, Address, CityStateZip, InnerEnvelope. Then proceed to enter your list. If you are addressing 2 unmarried guests, please keep them in the same cell, separated by a semicolon. They will be listed one underneath the other on the envelope.

Please Note: We try and make as few corrections as possible to your list. We will make changes if we see obvious etiquette or spelling errors or if spacing is an issue. However, for the most part, your envelopes will be printed EXACTLY from your list. Please made sure the list you provide is as you would like to see it on your envelopes. We do send a PDF proof of you envelopes prior to printing for final approval.

2. Email a copy of your list to info at letterperfectdesigns dot com (due to spam, we had to spell out the address. Please replace "at" and "dot" with the appropriate symbols. Sorry for the inconvenience). Or you may save it to a disk and include it with your envelopes.

3. Fill out the Order Form. Include it and your check (if paying that way) with all your envelopes* and ship them to Letter Perfect Designs, 715 Hunters Way, Fox River Grove, IL 60021.

*Please remember to include at least 10% extra for spoilage. It is ALWAYS cheaper to purchase extra envelopes at the time you place your initial invitation order with the printer. Any unused envelopes will be returned. We try to keep 5 for additions, changes or errors that may come up later, however, if you would prefer we don't, please just let us know.
